Queer ERGs have characterised the internal structures and diversity initiatives of large modern companies for years. They serve the community as a safe space and place for networking, where ideas for new projects emerge and mature, and they support companies in a strategic and content-related advisory capacity on their path to an inclusive and appreciative culture and equal opportunities for queer people in the workplace.
The ERG is a strong and established institution – but it must be based on sustained commitment and diverse participation in order to be fully effective. In particular, staff changes and a large number of locations are challenges for active ERG work. In this TOGATHERING, we would like to focus on structures and approaches for sustainable ERG work.

- How can we activate queers and allies to get involved in the ERG?
- Which structures, processes, tools and other ideas help us to retain knowledge in the ERG?
- What needs, opportunities and challenges do smaller ERGs/ locations have?
- What are best practices from the collaboration between the ERG and D&I?
